Our publication schedule is just about filled for the next couple years. However, if you have taken the time to familiarize yourself with our books and feel you have a manuscript that would be a perfect fit, please send an email submission to Books@SlipdownMountain.com.
Here’s what we want to see (no more, no less):
- Brief synopsis of the book (200 words max)
- Approximate word count
- Description of the target audience (50 words max)
- How you can help market to that audience (100 words max)
- Titles of any relevant previous publication credits
- How we can contact you (address, phone, email)
Here’s what we do not want to see (if you include them, we won’t read them):
- Actual manuscript
- Attachments of any kind
- Statements from friends and relatives about how great it is
- Links to online information instead of the data above
We promise to:
- Actually read your submission
- Reply within two months
We may or may not explain our rationale if we reject your submission. Although we prefer to offer some explanations and recommendations (after all, we are writers, too), we’ve tired of the unprofessional, insulting replies we've received from too many authors. To date, we have received numerous queries and submissions but none have sufficiently caught our interest and few have shown any understanding of the types of books we publish.
